I put a deposit down on a 210 fsh March 5th of 2021 at Blackbeard marine in okc. Finally came in yesterday. Thursday is pick up date. All the guys at Blackbeard have been awesome. Made us fill like number one priority. Not sure what else they could of done to is the pressure of waiting for four months for a boat.

That is quick and fantastic that it came in.

My dealer has been pleasant but not as reassuring or forthcoming with information as I'd like. But, I'm a big communicator, I like updates even if it's just to say "No news, but we still have hope" would be fine. I'm becoming very frustrated with Yamaha as a whole, and really encouraging my husband to look at another brand. We some local marinas do have boats in stock (not many, but some) and we could get something else. Our budget is large enough we could be a bit picky, thankfully. He's so much more patient and relaxed than I am though, he's willing to wait. Not me lol, I want answers, I want Yamaha to be more open about the issues. Other companies are figuring stuff out, why are they not? Our 275sd supposedly is waiting on windshields or something, not even sure how accurate that is but that's what I heard. Months for just a windshield? Seems fishy. Not even sure what I believe any more since it's all just rumors from people who don't work for Yamaha. I'm just venting, thanks for listening! ?

The pandemic, Suez, and Texas power grid failure have caused all sorts of strange shortages. I've had a Ford Bronco on order for two model years now...the can make only certain colors and only soft tops...hard to imagine why, but this is the situation. Ford, Yamaha, and every other company is in business to make money by selling stuff...it's in their interest to deliver products to their customers. For years manufacturers have been moving to Just-in-time production, so they don't stock parts like the did 20-30 years ago...its great when it works, but not in 2020/21 when a single component can delay a whole vehicle or boat.

I'm with you on the frustration, but unfortunately none of these shortages are fishy these days. Restaurants near me are now having extra closed days each week because they cannot hire enough staff. Kids from Europe who normally come to the US to work summer jobs haven't been able to travel, so lots of summer jobs are going unfilled...all of these things cascade and interact with each other in strange ways. Not to say some manufactures might use supply chain shortages as a cover for their own lack of planning and production...

I sold a perfectly good boat last summer and ordered one in the fall...thought it'd be in around December or January...I'm still waiting and still hopeful if not a bit frustrated with the lack of info from Yamaha.

We sold our boat last summer as well. Looking back maybe not the best idea during covid times, but hubby really didn't like it any more and wanted something else. We had an Axis. Fingers crossed we see our boats soon!

Well I hate to deflate everyone's hope, but I just got a call from our dealer. As of today, Yamaha announced that nearly all remaining 2021 boats have been cut (90%). Apparently the only thing Yamaha is doing for the affected customers is putting those customers at the head of the line for a 2022 if interested, but in doing so, those customers will be hit with an 8% price increase for the new model. Ouch!

I will not be hit with a 8% price increase. If my boat doesn't come after sitting with money down for 5 months and them thinking I'm paying $3000.00 more next year they are crazy. That is what they want. A way to make more money at customers expense. They should at least be offering those who have had money down for at least four months to keep the cost the same. Plus I have had to pay for my storage unit all this time because it could come at any day. This is a great way to start selling boats again for 2022 and make more money. Lack of communication, dealers having no access to the process, and hearing all of the quality control problems. I will take my $3,000.00 a move up to another boat manufacturer.

I have not received a call from my dealer yet by the way.

Side note: I need to stay off this forum. Raises my blood pressure.
Hahah well said I agree. My dealer did tell me if my boat need happen to get cancel that they will honor my 2021 price. Plus right with you a nice bit down now.

Just out of curiosity how many people on this forum are still waiting for Boats
Blue 195s. Deposit aug 2020

I am assuming Irwin marine are they telling you anything

We're waiting. 275sd. Put deposit on it in March but it was allotted to dealer already before that. They were allotted 3 275s and we put a deposit on their black on.

Yes I ordered from Irwin. No I’m not really getting answers though they are saying they don’t have any information to give me but will let me know as soon as they do. They keep promising me I’m still getting my boat but I can’t imagine they even know that for sure.

Blue 212XD - placed deposit November 2020. (River Valley Marine MN) My salesman indicated that he had already made all of the unpleasant calls to people who were impacted by orders cancelled by Yamaha and passed on that Yamaha still plans to deliver the rest. I have to believe that they are doing the best they can with all of the supply problems. Being optimistic takes a bit of extra energy, but I hope it pays off.

Best of luck to all of us still waiting!
