Part 4 Engine Reassembly To End Milky Oil

Yeah I don't want to do this again.

I assume the engine is in the boat?

FWIW I’d say pull the engine and get it in a comfortable place to work and methodically go through the process again. They aren’t really hard to pull out of the boat. And life is so much better when you aren’t hunched over in the engine compartment.

What happened to the reverse bucket on the nozzle?

Had to replace cable and was on the to do list.

It had a Thrust Vector but didn't like the feel

update

So, I went back to same mechanic to install head, cams and TC a second time today as agreed and was met by his partner and was told couldn't leave it and to call partner and schedule appointment for 2 weeks.

Needless to say I was pissed . Would never go back.
In case your in Miami, double check anything WSR does for you

Found this place and see their skis on the the water.
Hope I have better luck.

Trying for water test tomorrow. Fingers crossed

update

Head is cracked.

Looking for replacement if someone has one laying around or someone who has special pricing at dealer help me out would be great

Good find look for a jet ski that has the same motor or someone parting it out

Update:

Hopefully get confirmation on order of new cylinder head assembly for a tune of $1533
It is impossible to call anyone for availability or to find out out of stock or weeks before delivery.
Getting parts for Yamaha is getting out of hand

UPDATE:

It is terrible to own a Yamaha and try to get parts.
No cylinder heads in US. They are all in Japan.
Supposedly through PartsVu and Partszilla Sept 8 they are expecting delivery. Needless to say shipping is taking 2 weeks.

Had no other choice but to find it on Ebay for a mere $400 more than lowest price I found.
I need this nightmare to be over.
Could of used that extra money to pay guy to install, towards machinist to swap parts over or new APR studs I was considering. Plus still need the Sea Deck during GB I need this behind me to before spending more cash....

I think at 20K into it I have to get over time and money spent on it and enjoy it will be new to me for sure and may be still break even if I sell.
