Relocating to year around better weather

@PEARCE our last house had an hoa. Sounds similar to your experience but didn't dissolve the hoa. Our new one seems reasonable. Our dues are only $25 a month. According to the builders realtor they have been improving projects quickly. Can't wait to start exploring the lakes around texas. Coming from the northwest the water temp in the heat of the summer only gets to 78 degrees! Let us know where around Dallas you like!

Ocean and sunset views. Air B&B in the downstairs to pay the mortgage! Most importantly, plenty of parking for the boat below the pool!

Does the B&B fee include boat tours (not the three hour variety:rolleyes:) ? I think I would actually pay a premium to stay with a JBN member!

Congrats! that looks nice,

.

@malibu Dan I'm really liking how your house is turning out. Looks as though your tile roof is in progress. What kind of tile is it? Is it a normal thing or an upgrade? Most roofs here in Texas are asphalt shingles with the occasional standing seem metal roof. That attached rv garage looks awesome! That's a perfect setup for a rv in your future or your man-cave at least for now. I have a detached toy garage/man-cave that I keep our Yamaha in that has a 10.5'w by 14' tall door and the inside depth is 34'. Lots of room for lots of stuff! Next to the garage and under the same roof is a carport, or rv port if you will, for our 5th wheel camper. We have to keep our toys out of the sun when not being used. Please keep the pics of the progress coming.

@malibu Dan Great progress!! So jealous of the rv garage. Had we ended up in Phoenix we would have done that too. You will be done in no time! Just had the walkthrough this morning. Another week and will be all signed. BTW.. 2.625% interest on our loan!!

Wow... that’s an incredible rate.. 3.75 is the best we could do.. can’t wait to see your final pics.. when does groundbreaking on pool start?

Rv Garages and Concrete tile roofs are the standard now in the Az desert. In Lake Havasu there are so many “ SO MANY” storage places and they are all full. So many and so many “ Snow Birds” are just building/Adding Rv garages. Grass is also a rather rare landscape lol

Thanks, the roof was standard with this development.. so happy with the progress so far... now gotta slowly convince the wife a new toy is needed in that big, empty garage...;)

When we were selling our last house to move we had so many perspective buyers say” wish you had somewhere to store my RV/toys.. we knew we needed an RV garage this time around to ensure if we needed to sell that this would not be an issue....

We just checked on the house.. had to voice up about a 2x4 protruding out of the RV garage wall to ensure it was fixed sooner than later., they had to cut a hole in the ceiling to get to it...181AB20E-D739-428E-A866-3B4CDA4FC1B4.jpegE3594D82-AD98-479A-AAD9-B6F7C334C8E8.jpeg
