I don't miss the days of snow plowing..... At least your roads are clear, but stacking snow is going to be an issue for you shortly. Only so many places to put it before they need to truck it away.....@Babin Farms At least you'll be back in the 60's here soon. Ours is going to stick around for a few weeks at least.
Speaking of which. Got another 12in overnight up here. Now have 46in on the back patio. I can't see the lawn furniture we left out there anymore. Snow piles from driveway/road clearing in the neighborhood are now taller than the truck.
This was heading to work at 7am this morning. No delays for the working up here. Schools are closed because of extreme wind chill numbers.

Yea, I just checked the predictions. Nothing above freezing until the 2nd week in February. Another lake effect event, and we're gonna be "perma-buried"I don't miss the days of snow plowing..... Thanks but I’ll pass. We’ve got enough snow down here already and have had to leave the water running overnight for most of the week. Was not expecting this living down here, that’s for sure.I would love to say I feel for you, but I have a feeling my beating is coming soon. I already had the workday in -14 weather, so fingers crossed the REAL cold has passed.
Want me to send you a jar of Northern Snow? I may even be able to make it genuine Illinesian snow, if they send me through there next week
You're not selling the south right now @Babin Farms....The PODs are already packed and on their way down....Thanks but I’ll pass. We’ve got enough snow down here already and have had to leave the water running overnight for most of the week. Was not expecting this living down here, that’s for sure.
The cold & snow are almost gone. Hit 50 today and only going to get warmer as the days go by. C’mon down!!!You're not selling the south right now @Babin Farms....The PODs are already packed and on their way down....
Wife and kids start driving down Monday, I leave Saturday, I gave the company one more week to finish training my replacement then I start driving down. New company is giving me a week or two to unpack and get acclimated then I start working againThe cold & snow are almost gone. Hit 50 today and only going to get warmer as the days go by. C’mon down!!!
After having most of the week off work due to the weather
12F and sunny this morning meant that the pictures should be nice and crisp if one of our neighbors was sitting in one of her favorite trees on the trail along the lake...

When you think about it there is a lot that’s flushable but is it supposed to be flushed?? Ive seen kids shoes, dog toys, hand towels, 2x4’s, mortar mix and numerous other things that don’t belong in a sewer or septic tank. All this “other stuff” that gets flushed does is cause problems in the systems. Most people don’t care because they flush and it goes away but they’ll be the first to complain if the sewer stops working properly.I'll take "things that IL people aren't used to hearing" for $1000,Alex
Had the talk with the wife character about those "flushable" wipes after the plumber's bill, and showed her what the BIG snake would have cost me.
Haven't had a problem after saying the next time we'd be saving money and learning lessons in more ways than one, after she'd get a crash course in how to operate it.
Whoever thought to sell them as "flushable" should be forced to go on ride along's with you and deal with the outcome a few dozen times
