So over the winter the windshield on my 2017 212 L broke. The new windshield is at the shop, but the “windshield fitting kit” is on back order. It’s the gasket under the windshield and 2 support rods. Mine were damaged. I have heard anywhere from 6/18 to 7/22 depending on who I talk to. This has been incredibly frustrating. If anyone knows where I can find one let me know I have tried all the normal sources.

The part number is f3r-u1940-00-00 . I looked up the part numbers for a 2018 and 2019 and all 3 are different. I can’t believe Yamaha would make a new windshield design every year is that right?

At this point I’m thinking about using the boat without a windshield until the parts arrive has anyone ever done this? Any thoughts??

Wear googles, dont want to get a bug in your eye! No biggeee. might be nice to have the a/c on for once. (Wind).

If the alternative was no boat until midsummer, I'd rock it without a windshield in a heartbeat.

X3 on boating this summer without the windshield. Might look like an old Chris Craft ... you could start a new Mod trend.

Just drive in reverse until the kit comes in.

I would not worry about it. Just think of how many times you have stood up driving your boat looking above the windshield, however, just be sure you have glasses covering your eyes.[flag]

My Scarab didn't have a windshield, not really a big deal in warmer weather.

Go for it!. Think of all the boats not designed for windshields. If you get caught in a downpour and racing for cover the rain will feel like pebbles on your face and body.
